Case Study
Digital data convicts Facebook predator
Henry Pinney from Leicestershire used fake social media accounts to lure young males into indecent activity. Investigators used CAS, Pathfinder and other Cellebrite solutions to access and analyze digital evidence from multiple devices, including a locked iPhone and iPad. 565 million pages of data were extracted, which helped secure his sentence of 9 years behind bars and permanent inclusion on the Sex Offender’s Register.
2 main challenges:
- Recover data from a locked iPhone and iPad.
- Extract sufficient evidence in time for court prosecution.
