Junior Cyber Researcher- Entry level

About The Position

The forensic research group is the heart and mind of the forensic research analysis at Cellebrite. The group locates, analyses and parses forensic artefacts from file systems, application data and other binary inputs. Research topics vary from deleted artefacts recovery and reconstruction, data carving and analysis to file/protocol format reverse engineering. The group specializes in black box reverse engineering and protocol analysis as well as other RE tools for Android and iOS.


Responsibilities & Scope of Role

  • You will be a part of the decoding group, responsible for the analysis of applications and binary file formats.
  • Analyze proprietary and open formats: file systems, flash transfer layer, databases and others.
  • Write production code in C#/python that implements the analysis.
  • Conduct forensic research on artifacts in iOS, Android and Windows.
  • Maintain existing Parsers and infrastructure tools.

Requirements

  •  Mathematics/Physics/Computer Science university graduate, or equivalent experience from an IDF tech unit.
  • 2 years experience in development or research- Advantage
  • Good programming skills, preferably C# and/or python.
  • Motivation for solving puzzles and challenges.
  • Advantage if experienced in:
  1. Flash memory, file systems
  2. Internal DB structure.
  3. Sysinternals
