Enhancing its presence in Australia, Cellebrite has finalized the sale of 400 units of its UME-36Pro memory exchanger to Telstra, a deal worth $550,000. Telstra, one of the best-known brands in Australia, offers a full range of services and competes in all telecommunications markets throughout the country. The company provides nearly 9 million Australians with a fixed line and over 10 million with mobile services, including over 7 million customers of 3G services. By implementing the UME-36Pro in its stores, Telstra can offer its customers a complete phone-to-phone transfer & backup of all their content, directly from one phone to another, eliminating the need for manual backup.

Requests for the collection of personal data should not prove to be a challenge for telecommunication companies.
As detailed in last week's Queen's Speech, the Government "intends to bring forward measures to maintain the ability of the law enforcement and intelligence agencies to access vital communications data under strict safeguards to protect the public, subject to scrutiny of draft clauses".
Leeor Ben-Peretz, V-P of business development at Cellebrite, said its solutions for the transfer and forensic analysis of data were complementary to what was in the bill, but a challenge may come for governments in terms of legal rights and data management.read the whole article

Partner Israel Upgrades to Cellebrite Touch

Partner, the Israeli representative of Orange, announced it has upgraded its UME lineup with Cellebrite Touch devices across its service station, noting that 1 out of every 7 customers has had his or her content transferred via a Cellebrite device.
